"The house itself is amazing. So spacious and a gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff are very accommodating and regularly clean the pool / rooms etc. It is a rough walk up the hill but that is the only downside, and we hardly wanted to leave anyways! The beach is accessible by bus. Kitchen fully equipped and we loved that each room had it's own lovely bathroom. Monkeys came through each day at dinner time and were so entertaining! I would go back!"
"I just want to say that we love love love Manuel Antonio Estates. This is our 2nd year visiting MAE and we will be back next year. Chef Paul of Ireland prepared our meals for the week and the food was delicious."
"This is one of the most spectacular places we have ever stayed at! Our family had so much fun in the pool and the views from the balcony were simply breathtaking. The villa itself is huge and the location is perfect. Close enough to the beaches and town to make it an easy trip and yet still set far enough from the roads that we could enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful part of Costa Rica. The amenities are world class and the accommodations are superbly luxurious (we particularly enjoyed the huge jacuzzi bath with the view of the ocean!). Would recommend this Villa to anyone wanting to explore Manuel Antonio or Quepos and the owner, James, was wonderful to deal with as well. Enjoy!!"
"My wife and family stayed in villa Manakin for 5 nights. We celebrated our wedding anniversary. The overall location of the property is great and a short drive to Manuel Antonio beach and park. The property is nice and all the rooms do have a/c since it is quite hot. The terrace has a great view of quepos and the ocean. The first floor is spacious and the kitchen is decent. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it for a family trip or reunion. The hostess and property manager are very attentive and servicing. The housekeeping is always on time. We definitely enjoyed our stay."
"This property matched the website description and photos perfectly. The view of the ocean and forests is spectacular; the location is great -- short walk into town with with two grocery stores, plenty of restaurants (I highly recommend both El Grande Escape and Cafe Milagro), plenty of shops. The ocean is a bit of a walk, but definitately doable. We used the massage services available onsite, which were top quality. Taxis to other locations are easy to obtain. There are plenty of activities to choose from (the 4 hour sailboat cruise was my favorite; and if you go to the national forest park in Manuel Antonio, be sure to get a guide to point out many sights and wildlife that you would otherwise miss), and there are stores and eateries around that deliver (we had deliveries from a pizza place and a liquor store, which were very reasonable and quick). We enjoyed the balcony and the swimming pool daily. Overall, excellent value for the price, which I would highly recommend (and have recommended to friends). The property was clean and well-maintained; housekeeping came daily, as did pool service. We had several occasions to contact the management for questions or advice, and had our needs addressed promptly, satisfactorily, and in a friendly manner."
"I traveled with a group of 9 friends (age 22-26) around Costa Rica for 10 days. We spent our first 3 nights at Manuel Antonio Estates...and we were extremely thrilled with the overall service and experience we had while staying at the Tanager Villa! The property is beautiful and the villa was better than we had anticipated from the online ad!! That said, I hope you have the opportunity to stay at the Manuel Antonio estate!! Pura Vida!"
"We had a large family group staying in Tanager and Jacana and everyone was completely amazed and thrilled at the beauty of the houses, and the private rooms, baths and sitting areas. There was a huge table where we were able to come together for family meals etc. for a great experience. The view was beautiful, and management was very helpful in setting up activities and helping with any questions. We enjoyed it very much, and would love to stay there again."
"It was difficult to find convenient and collocated accommodations for 20 friends and family in Costa Rica for our 10-day Christmas vacation until I tapped into the villas at Manuel Antonio Estates. These opulent and luxuriously crafted facilities were a sensual sensation with a beautiful mixture of textures, colors, and furnishings and the large dining area in the Tanager allowed us all to eat together for several meals. The listing that I viewed did not do these properties justice as they far exceeded any expectations in our group. The estates have combined close walking proximity to Quepos and still preserved a remote "In-the-Jungle" feeling with walks, and animals regularly present. Dominicale, Jaco, and Manuel Antonio NP are all within fairly quick access. Members in our group toured all the way from the southern penninsula to Arenal to the Eastern coast and the repeated comment was "The Manuel Antonio Estates villas are a must-stop next time"."
"This is a great property!! I had a mini-family reunion here in July with 11 people and the property comfortably fitted us all. There are 3 BR in the main house and 3 suites with separate entrances: (1) 2-BR and full kitchen; (2) 1-BR with mini-kitchen; (3) 1-BR with no kitchen. The master bedroom contains the jacuzzi. The house is well-maintained with daily cleaning service. We totally enjoyed this house and it was very peaceful. We enjoyed being able to sit in the living room and still keep an eye on our young kids in the pool. The downside though is that there isn't much space around the pool to hang out. We had to keep the doors closest to the dining room and living room closed as the kids kept splashing in water. There was an abundance of wildlife around. No monkeys approached us as in the pics but we did see some as well as tons of amazing birds. Richard was incredibly helpful with the tours. He booked the tours for us, which included transportation (we didn't rent a car). The only downside was with the mangrove tour. We didn't realize that lunch/dinner was included and the mangrove staff failed to provide it. Definitely use Desiree as a chef. She cost a bit extra, but was worth it. Her meals were fantastic and provided peace-of-mind. We didn't have to worry about food for our entire stay. She worked with our schedule and with us on designing the menu. I would definitely stay here again...I only wished that I had stayed longer."
