The Ballena Marine National Park is one of the most exclusive reserves in Costa Rica, named after the humpback whales that migrate here every year from December to April to mate before returning to the icy waters of the north. Whales and dolphins emerge from the water and offer a spectacle to witness, plus you can also easily see dolphins and turtles.
The Ballena Marine National Park is one of the best places to dive in Costa Rica, because it is where the largest coral reef on the Pacific coast of Central America forms a necklace with the three small islands, known as Las Tres Hermanas (the three sisters) and island Ballena is the centerpiece.
If you are in Costa Rica don’t miss the opportunity to snorkel in the best coral reef, watch whales, dolphins, turtles and visit caves.
***Transportation to/from Marino Ballena Park is not included***
