Overview

Kayak and snorkel exploring marine wildlife during this exciting 2-hour excursion departing from the pier in Quepos.

Paddle your kayak for a little over an hour navigating past tiny islands and observing marine birds and their nesting grounds. Biesanz Bay is a beautiful hidden inlet where you can rest, enjoy a snack, and snorkel.

The 30-minute stop will allow you to explore the coastline. Water’s visibility will vary depending on the season, and there will be opportunities to spot parrotfish, starfish, angelfish, and maybe even a sea turtle.

Get ready to paddle back to the pier on your kayak, and during the journey look for pelicans, flying fish, or other marine life. Upon returning to the pier, you’ll head back to base camp to enjoy a little conversation over a delicious homemade meal. Easier than river kayaking; this Manuel Antonio tour does not require previous experience.

Kayaks are available for 1 or 2 passengers.

Kids must be at least 8 years old to do this tour, sharing a kayak with an adult.

A very special experience

My husband and I just got back from Costa Rica for our honeymoon and hands down, this may have been our favorite experience that we had. We kayaked into a bay, then jumped out of the kayaks and snorkeled for the first time in our lives. There were a few boats that pulled up with other snorkelers too, but it felt very special and worth the effort to kayak there. We lost track of how long we were there because it was just so peaceful floating and watching all of the fish. Our guide Alvin was very laid back and let us take our time, and shared some fruit with us before we kayaked back to the shore. For two amateurs the kayaking can be a bit tiresome but it was worth every minute. Thank you Alvin!
