Feria (Farmer’s Market)
Throughout Costa Rica you can visit all of the small towns to experience the “Ferias”. The days of the feria will vary from town to town but our local feria in Quepos starts late afternoon on Friday and until 12pm on Saturday. You can find all of our local seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisanal fresh cheeses, fresh fish/chicken/meats, homemade desserts, jams, herbs and spices, flowers, fresh pipa water right out of the shell (coconut water) and even locally made jewelry and clothing.
Visiting the feria is the perfect experience to mix with the locals and see how we live ,eat and shop.
Sometimes you want to go off the beaten path and experience some of the hidden beauties only the locals know about. Make sure you ask your host or concierges about these local spots.
