During Christmas & New Years
Between Dec 20 and Jan 5 we start the AM tours approx. 30 minutes earlier in order to guarantee the entrance to the park, as the number of visitors allowed is limited. Self drivers will meet the guide at El Avión Restaurant at 6.45 am, hotel pick up times will be confirmed in your confirmation email after submitting your booking.
Group tours are 8-10 people per group max. Private Tours are available at $71/adults and $55/children, you can book your private tour by selecting the regular group tour, and indicate under notes that you would like a private tour, and we will email you an updated statement with your confirmation.
Solo travelers can most likely be accommodated with other reservations in group tours.
Important: Due to the high volume of visitors between December and April, we may not be able to accommodate private tours for less than 4 people. Feel free to inquire first.
Our guide was Beatric (maybe spelled wrong) and she was super knowledgable about the various species of mamals/animals living in the park. Making for a great day for our 12 year old nature freak😍. Sure his science teacher will get an earful when we get home🤓. She was also super personable, so accommodating, and funny. Highly recommend this tour! Thank you Beatrice!
We went in the afternoon in the middle of the week…I feel like this might be the best time to go as the crowds were minimal. Staying at the end for the beaches is an absolute must. Our guide told us, however, that we could stay until 4pm when the park closes and then start exiting at 4 but we were actually told to leave the beach at 3:30pm. We saw lots of fascinating animals, including a pack of howler monkeys, but we likely would have chosen a different guide given the choice as ours lacked the pure wonderment and enthusiasm that we have had with other guides. Overall, however, it was 100% worth seeing the park with a guide or else we would have completely missed everything.
Best way to enjoy the park
The guides are very knowledgeable about animals, and you can see animals so much better when they show them to you in their mono lens. They will also take most amazing photos using your phone and their lens. During the morning hours animals are easier to spot so it is the best time to go
Fantastic tour of MA
Jason was my guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife. An amazing eye and sense for where they could be found. I had never seen a sloth before and we spotted two during our walk along with a group of howler monkeys. He helped me take the most fantastic photos using my phone through his lens. Thank you so much!
Great visit to Manuel Antonio!
We came to Manuel Antonio Park and booked a Private tour. Our guide Frank proved to have an excellent eye for spotting wildlife within the park. We saw 5 sloths, Howler and Capuchin Monkeys, many lizards and iguanas, and many bird species over the course of the morning. Frank was a pleasure to spend time with in the park and helped make our experience truly memorable.
