This tour is NOT done at Manuel Antonio National Park.
Only 10 miles east of Quepos, Rainforest Spices is a gentle walk through the plantation with hands-on and sensory stops along our winding “epiphyte” garden path.
Our “Flavors of the World” tasting is an assortment of vanilla, Ceylon cinnamon, and chocolate gourmet treats prepared by our pastry staff at the expansive viewpoints. We are, by design, an informative tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Our guide, Chris, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a total sensory experience, involving sight, smell and taste. The tasting was especially interesting. Especially the ice-cream! The view from the top was spectacular!
Highly recommend! Our family (6&9 years) had a great time with Chris, the friendliest and most knowledgeable guide in Costa Rica yet! The farm is beautiful and well kept and the spice and chocolate, ice cream and cookie tasting was simply amazing (so different to all the other tourist-focused tours). Everything was very intersting! Thanks so much Chris!
This was a great tour! Joyce was very knowledgeable and was patiently explaining how everything grows on the plantation. So much to smell and taste. Not an easy accessible tour for one’s with mobility issues.
This was a very informative tour about vanilla and coffee production. The grounds were beautiful and the tasting was exceptional. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
We’re much more knowledgeable about certain spices now than before;)……even some we didn’t know.
Joyce was our guide, and we were impressed with her knowledge and English, especially because it’s self-taught!
Feel free to reach out and we’re happy to answer any questions you may have.
